The harlequin is a fascinating fictional character that can be found as a street artist in many cultural institutions as well as town squares. He is wearing trousers which have one black and one white trouser leg. His upper garment is also divided into black and white but exactly the opposite. Each of the sleeves are again offset in different colours. He uses the flower he carries with him to cheer up his audience. The white make-up on his face makes him anonymous and at the same time accentuates his expressions, which really makes his pantomime performances stand out.
