Together with Germany, France developed the Alpha Jet in the 1970s, with the French Air Force focusing on using the aircraft for advanced training. This special livery, which paid tribute to the squadrons two squadrons before their already determined disbandment, was unveiled in 2019 at Cazaux Air Base in southwestern France. Just over a year later, the unit was officially disbanded. This Alpha Jet E features the colors and crest of 4C1 Squadron with its leaping lion on the left and the winged trident of 3C2 Squadron on the right.
