In 2022, Maersk started rebranding its air cargo division Star Air to Maersk Air Cargo, now sporting the easily recognizable light blue livery of its parent company. Initially delivery to Bahrains Gulf Air in 1990, later operated by Delta Air Lines, OY-SYA was converted to a full freighter during 2022, and took up flights for Maersk Air Cargo in January of 2023. The fleet currently consists of 21 Boeing 767s, new and larger 777 freighters are on order.
