In 1967, Texas-based Braniff International revolutionized commercial aviation with its radical new color scheme or rather color schemes: no less than 15 different colors were to attract attention and create more excitement for passengers. This Boeing 727-200 in a striking red color is the first of a new series of Braniff models in the 1/500 scale. Red was to become of the most popular colors, applied to no less than 17 aircraft, among them seven 727 trijets. More colors and aircraft types will follow.
