The A-10 Thunderbolt II is a ground-attack aircraft dedicated to close air support of the U.S. military which has been in use since 1977. It’s equipped with twin engines and a straight main wing. A total of 11 hard points are provided on the underside of the wing and the fuselage; it’s capable of carrying 7,260kg of bombs, rockets, missiles, and so on. The nose is also equipped with a GAU-8/A Avenger auto cannon for a high attack capability. Improvements continued after its deployment, and the A-10C, which appeared in 2005, has been refurbished to give it a glass cockpit. It took part in the 1991 Gulf War, and it continues to be active in the United States.

This model kit features plastic parts from Italeri, with Japanese assembly instructions and a package produced by Platz. The aircraft’s powerful form and its panel lines are realistically expressed; some of the inspection panels can be assembled opened or closed.
