About the Breitling Jets: The Breitling Jets are the worlds largest non-military flight demonstration team. The team was founded in 1982 by captain Jacques Portlin and was known as the “Apache Performance Team”. The performance team changed sponsors in 2004, and the team name was subsequently changed to “Breitling Jets”.
There are now a total of 9 L-39Cs in service in the team, and we were happy to see seven of them demonstrating their superb flight skills at the 9th China International Aviation and Aerospace Expo in November 2012.
The aircraft numbers in service of the Breitling Jet Fleet are as follows: ES-YLR/0, ES-YLX/1, ES-YLS/2, ES-YLI/3, ES-TLG/4, ES-TLF/5, ES-YLF /6, ES-YLP/7, ES-TLC/8, among which aircraft No. 0, 1, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 8 participated in the air show performance.
