Father Bruce Outbackis a very physical chap and loves to climb trees. All the village children enjoy challening Bruce to a ‘tree climbing’ competition – especially Ralph Walnut who has never met a tree he couldn’t climb. Bruce gives him all the best tips for making it to the very top of the tree in question.

Mother Carissa Outbackis very popular with the little ones in Sylvania due to her softly spoken voice and her excellent hugs. Carissa is a popular choice of babysitter when other parents have work to do or errands to run, and as a result her house is nearly always full of children!

Baby Sister Adelaide Outbackis very fond of being carried on her mother’s back. She often begins crying whenever Carissa puts her down, and consequently ends up being carried around all day long.
