The U30A container is a privately owned 20-foot container.

U30A containers owned by Hokuetsu Corporation are painted light blue or blue and have the company’s logo and product name written on them. They are mainly used on freight trains between Niigata and Osaka, Nagoya, and Kumagaya. The Ecorail mark has been affixed since around 2022.
